Hey everyone! I'm in the process of adding some polls for our own mock presidential election--of Pirates of the Caribbean characters, of course! The winners of each primary will go head to head on Nov 4th to see which character we would elect as president...

And to help show your support, there are (as of now) three "political" parties to join--the Pirates Party, the Royal Navy Party, and the EITCo Party, there maybe more coming later.

To join one of the groups, click on "preferences" on the top bar, and under profile options is "joinable groups." By clicking there you will get to see all the joinable groups we have and can join one (or more than one).

Anyone interested in a potential PotC (any of the movies, participants' preferences) or other related movie rewatch?

I have very few constraints when this would be other than not on Wednesday afternoons, but I think for the majority of people who might be interested a weekend might be better? (anyweekend in August would be fine for me)

If you're interested just reply, with a movie preference (any one of the potc movies, or a related sort of age of sail, or pirate movie), and a preference for time.

There is some discussion over what that means for the guy in the foreground of the images, but in the second image the guy in the back is wearing what is without a doubt, one of the costumes from the first movie. A RN one.

*shrugs* Not like I'm going to even bother seeing the movie this time, but it may be a place for more faces to borrow and use in the future.

Do any of you have interest in playing a murder mystery game? Like those murder mystery dinners, but without the dinner. I have a game here that calls for six players (not including me - I would be the mod, since I have all the books). It would be fun to play it in character - I mean like your normal AG characters adopting the silly persona of the mystery characters. And some of the men would have to play women.

I could send you PMs to tell you all the information you would need to know. It would be fun!

I was wondering if everyone might do me a favour? Unfortunately this question is for native speakers of English only, but I do promise it is a quick question, with two parts.

You can PM me the answer, or just say here if you don't mind.

1. Are "caulk" and "cock" said the same or different? In other words is there a vowel difference for the two for you?
2. What region (roughly) are you from? English speaker from the UK or Ireland, or from the northeast, south, midwest, west, etc of the US, or other?

I managed to get two good pics of my character for use as avatars... but the question is... which one do I use?

So a discussion came up regarding the old mutiny threads and how they relate to the canon of the board. Having een around for quite a while AG has quite a bit established in terms of board events and the quantity of such does make it more difficult for members to join. As such, for the very least, I'd like to know which events of the board people feel are very important so that I might be able to write up brief summaries for potential inclusion in a new ad, or at the very least for an extended version of out plot.

Also, there was some discussion regarding the mutiny plot. It was to be a far ranging plot that affected the whole of Port Royale, however civilian participation was minimal, and it has been considered to scale down (obviously, as the posts are now more or less completed or abandonded) such so that it was an event that affected only the RN/Marine characters. Before something of that magnitude (rewriting old plots) is decided, I would like feedback from members on what they think of this.

Also, we're looking to expand our member base, and as such I shall be working on rewriting our ad/plot, and any thoughts people have on that, or on any aspect of recruiting is welcomed.
