Given Name: -- Surname: Murtogg Sex: Male Age: -- Location: Port Royal Occupation: Marine Private Account name: (currently handled under either James Norrington, Gillette/Brendan, or the Royal Navy and Marines account) Current Handler: None, open Personality: Some might accuse Murtogg of being the more gullible of this marine duo, and he certainly is, though compared to most people, he is far more open and accepting to a wide range and variety of things. He's one of those people more apt to believe anything he hears, even if it goes against all rationality and logic, which, has much to everyone's surprise, proved him correct in some truly astounding ways. Murtogg is also quite oblivious to what others think of him, his ways, and his beliefs. It is no secret within the Marines that most wouldn't mind seeing Murtogg dissappear, as he has a penchant for causing trouble (all accidentally), and for proving to be a great distraction to their own, when no such thing is needed. When it comes to intelligence, he is not the sharpest knive in the kitchen, and this has been used to great effect, along with his manipulativability, against himself. He makes up for those traits with his easy-goingness and general affability to anyone (though only people who don't work with him, are able to stand him). History: Murtogg is first met as one of the two marines standing guard over HM Sloop Interceptor while her crew is mustered inside the fort for Norrington's promotion ceremony. He and Mullroy were easily brought into a debate with each other, which allowed the Pirate, Jack Sparrow, to take advantage of their distraction and board the Interceptor, where he once again took advantage of his ability to confuse them, and distract them. They were next present during the attempted ambush of Barbossa's crew off of the Isla de la Muerta, in the same boat as Commodore Norrington, and they then participated in the final battle on board the Dauntless. He and Mullroy are never seen apart from each other, which leads to the belief that the could be very close friends. They play well off of each other, and are a source of comedy in the first film.
