NPC Name: Peter Somersby Sex: Male Age: Thirty-six Location: Port Royal Occupation: Post-Captain, HMS Proserpina Handler: Brendan, Norrington Plot: He's been named in a couple threads, but he'll be involved in the aftermath of the mutiny. History: A post-captain with under three years' seniority, Peter first came to the Caribbean with the flagship of Admiral Lord Heyworth. He served as the flagship's first lieutenant, until he was sent to Port Royal with sealed orders for then-Captain Norrington. These orders contained Norrington's confirmation as commodore, with a provision declaring him in fact an acting-rear admiral, pending further confirmation from London. Likewise promoted to post-captain, Peter was to remain in Port Royal with Norrington's flagship, to begin gradually taking over command of the second-rate and her crew. When the mutiny broke out, he helped to defend the ship. He was sent to Proserpina to take command after St Montgomery's promotion, a move that he doesn't look especially kindly on but accepts as necessary. Permission given for others to RP: PM for permission, otherwise the answer is "no". |
