Given Name: James Surname: Slater Sex: Male Age: Fifteen Location: Kingston/HMS Victoria Occupation: Midshipman (Signals) Handler: Me Plot: Any that can reasonably merit a midshipman Personality: Pending History: James Slater is fortunate enough to come from a tolerably respectable family in Yorkshire, but not quite fortunate enough to be the first-born son. He was sent away to the Navy as much a means to provide him a travelling education as to remove him from the family manor. Despite his somewhat bumbling manner and his inglorious beginning as a ship's boy, Slater took well to the Navy. His advancement from ship's boy to midshipman was somewhat inevitable but he could only benefit from the experience. His posting to Victoria from his previous ship comes roughly two years after becoming a midshipman. Slater has learned a great deal and applies himself to his studies with the keen dedication of a born scholar. Having shown particular ability in reading and interpreting flag signals, he was named signals midshipman by the captain. Permission given for others to RP: PM for permission |
