The second letter contains quite crude language; those easily offended should look away now.

The first letter is for the King's eyes only,

Your Majesty,

My mission in the Carribean has, thus far, proven to be an illuminating one. With so many interests vested in this region - particularly in the island of Jamaica - and the recent bout of heavy changes imposed upon its populace, we should perhaps be grateful that the situation is not far worse.

The brief fears of a sudden resurrection of heavy piracy in the region seem to be unfounded; as far as I can ascertain the threat of piracy remains at its increasibly downward trajectory, and the attack on Port Royal that we received news of some months ago appears to have been an isolated - and exaggerated - incident.

Foreign powers in the region - particularly the French and Spanish - seem to be keeping low profiles in regards to disrupting British interests. However, all is not at peace; internal conflict is an ever present shadow over this tropical colony. The recent mutiny appears to be fresh on the population's minds, and discontent appears to be rearing its head once more, the origin of which I believe to be the presence of the East India Company. Though I am quite sure that His Lordship Cutler Beckett intends no ill feeling towards the discontented, there are still rumblings.

Rest assured, however, that they are manageable; I shall smooth relations between the civilian, military and commercial authorities in the region.

Your ever faithful servants,
Grayson Wolfe
Special Envoy

A second letter is dispatched to Wolfe's office in Whitehall,

Morrison,

It's worse here than I thought. Someone's been loading proverbial horse dung into a cannon and spraying it all over this godforsaken town. There's an ineffectual governor, a madhat admiral and an inferiority complex named Beckett to deal with - and that's just a little taster to whet your considerable appetite. Speaking of which, I hope you've stopped eating so much swan like I told you? You barely fit into the office as it is.

I'm going to have to do the rounds with whatever class of red-faced wig-wearers the people of Port Royal call their high society. A lot of whispers and not-so-whispers seem to emanate around the governor's daughter. By the sounds of it, she's got her fingers in a lot of pies. Or a lot of men have had their fingers in hers. Fumbling around with blacksmiths, gallavanting off with pirates, schmooching with disgraced military officers...I jest not. So much for getting a nice young lady away from the immoral playground that is London, eh?

Anyway, that's enough about my holiday on Arse Ache Island. What's the situation back in London? Is that ballsack journalist Andrew Smallwood still stirring up trouble over the King's spending? We need to get him to calm down or he's going to scare the Whigs out of their tights. Take him to that whorehouse near the docks, get some dirt on him there and run a headline with it - 'Smallwood's Small Wood' or something. Or better yet, 'Andy Pandy gets a handy from a girl named Mandy'. I like that one, make it happen. That'll shut him up.

And Morrison, you're probably the only person I'd have to tell this to, but I feel I better in case you decide to literally follow this letter
to the letter; don't actually run with the 'Andy Pandy' headline. That really would make the Whigs turn their tights brown.

Get back to me as soon as possible; I've got to rip this admiral a new one and try to convince the governor's daughter to stop taking a tumble with the blacksmith for two minutes and do something useful.
